Our
Story
The house has been here since 1920. When we bought it, it had been abandoned for decades, overgrown with ivy and partly collapsed.
We took it on as a family. Most of the work was done by hand, with help from parents and relatives who rebuilt it piece by piece. What started as a ruin became a home again over the course of a year.
The structure was kept as it was, with stone on the ground floor and wood in the loft, and wherever possible we worked with what was already there. Even the old barn stone walls with a vine were left in place and turned into a courtyard.
We live here as well and run the place ourselves. The idea was never to create a stopover, but something more personal that keeps its character, so guests can settle in naturally from the moment they arrive.
